Lycra Hood

The Snuggy Lycra Hood is made from premium, durable shiny nylon‑spandex, offering a breathable, comfortable and close fit. This stretchy hood provides full coverage of the face, ears, neck, mane, withers, shoulders and chest. It features an adjustable noseband, elastic chest strap, velcro belly band and the option of a chin‑to‑chest zip for easier fitting. The pull‑on version simply slips over the nose and secures with the belly band.

Designed for show and event preparation, the Lycra Hood helps create a sleek, shiny coat by keeping dust, bedding and forage off the hair while laying the mane and coat flat. It is intended for indoor use — in the stable, lorry or trailer — and can be worn alone or with the Snuggy Lycra Body Rug for full nose‑to‑tail coverage.

Zip or Pull‑On? Snuggy recommend the pull‑on version unless your horse is head‑shy. Pull‑on hoods are less bulky, less fiddly and have fewer parts to break. For head‑shy horses, the zipped version makes fitting easier and more comfortable.

Sizing advice: The Lycra Hood is generously sized due to the stretch fabric. If your horse or pony is between sizes, choose the smaller size. This product should fit snugly.
